ssd install problems
Hi, new and hope you can help
Just purchased a crucial 256gb ssd V4, realised the boot up has to be ahci rather than IDE for full speed.
Cloned the ssd, ut didnt boot due to AHCI. ok, so install win 7 as fresh on ssd, and tried loading software, its painfully slow.
So am i best off reloading win7 on ssd, then using my current hdd with all my apps, itunes etc as normal. do i have to configure anything or is it plug and play, or what am i doing wrong. The bios needs updating, but from manufacturer website it says for new cpu support.
Ideally i was going to put all on ssd, thinking it would help, but after reading a few threads its best to keep old hdd.
Hope that makes sense, im rushing as off out now
Any replies would be gratefully received
