Windows 7: Can someone please tell me how to do this?

Hello i am new to windows 7. i just bought the computer i am using now from someone on the internet. i would like to delete all of his files and do a complete computer wipe. But i do not own any dvd-roms and i have tried other things but they dont work, eg pressing esc at boot screen. it is very frustrating.

If you have a good COA (certificate of authenticity) on the PC, the above tells you how to get Windows 7 installation media and do a clean install.

It's intended for getting rid of the dubious stuff that PC manufacturers load on their PCs, but it'd serve as well for eliminating everything from a prior owner.

There are two options which incorporate the good suggestions which have already been made:

1) Run HP System Recovery from it's partition at boot, if you want the preinstalled factory programs and bloatware which can be the very worst on HP's. But check if there is a Minimal Recovery choice on that HP once you boot into Recovery.
