Windows 7: Hang On Press any Key installing Windows

Tried installing using flash drive and Dvd but same error both times. Used the image last week and all went fine. I have created a new partition on an existing 500gb seagate hardrive which I would like to install windows on. This partition E: is 100GB and the other partition G: has all my media and software etc. Do I have to change the partition I want Windows on to C:? Or is there anything else I have done wrong?

So, the drive has only 2 partitions and neither one of them contain an OS, correct?

Yes but solved that. Think my virus software had quarantined part of the iso file before I burned it. Anyways I now have the problem where the installation goes fine up until the point it restarts. It scans the second partition with ChkdsK, gets to 67% then flashes up blue error screen then restarts and shows no operating system error. GGGRRRRR

Sounds like the installer. Confirm the ISO and write to flash stick using step 1 and 2 from Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which will also assure a perfect reinstall.
