    Tips on Installing Windows 7

Ok, if I had all the files and programs taken off vista that I want for W7 and I was ready to install Windows 7 is there any tips or procedures I'll need to do first to prevent problems later on in the install?

Ie, I take it I don't need to change and BIOS settings, my D drive will still visible etc?

Just that things always go wrong when I undergo big opertations like these.

Is this an upgrade? If you don't want problems, I would do a clean install. That is the best advice I can give you.

That's what I'll be doing. But I just wanted to know if there was any setting that needed to be dealt with first before formatting my C:\ drive and installing Windows 7.

Antman: I ran that advisor program and my laptop is fine for W7.

If you are running Vista you will run 7 fine. There may be an issue or two but this site will guide you through any problems. It should install fine.
