    32bit or 64bit Windows 7 for a Quad Core Processor


    Im just wondering if I would need to use a 32bit or 64bit Windows 7 with a Quad Core AMD processor. Please advise? :)

    If you have 4gb of ram or more use x64.

    For better help with problems, Can you post your specs.

    I havent purchased the PC yet but I will copy the specs. Here they are:-

    PSU Size: 500 Watt Branded Power Supply

    Features: 1x Gigabit Network Card,1x VGA Ports,1x DVI Port,2x PS/2 Ports,Sound Card,4x USB 2.0 ports
    Rear Panel Connections: Front USB Ports,Gigabit Lan,USB 2.0,Front Audio Ports

    As you have 8gb of ram, use x64.

    As your new MOBO has a uEFI BIOS.
    How to install Windows 64 bit on a uEFI BIOS:
    UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with
    or
    UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 8 with
