Very Specific Bootmgr Problem
I got hold of an official (legal) Windows 7 release through my college which has a deal with microsoft. This is not a beta or RC I am running. I have been running win7 with no problems for 3 weeks now, and got all new parts and finally got rid of my single core cpu. put everything together, attatche harddrives, reinstalled and activated win 7 without error.
--I installed XP on one drive (drive0 labeled D:) and win 7 on the other (drive1 labeled C:).
--i decided later that day after getting XP mode working that i didn't need the XP drive anymore and formatted it.
--I set the proper boot flags on the harddrive with 7 on it. but i get the "bootmgr missing" error, and have been unable to fix it. i used system recovery, and that put the MBR on the proper drive ( i also swaped the sata cables so win7 drive is drive0 now) and i removed the other harddrive completely.
How do i fix the bootmgr with the recovery tools on the DVD?
Any help is much appreciated.
