Yeah and this disc is genuine as you've seen i have posted a picture of the box an so on...
Right i've just retried doing the install with the windows disc and i'm at the first installer, so i'm going to go through the clean install section and report back. fingers crossed!
I have an older PC with Windows 7 Ultimate, and I need to switch hard drives.
Will it still work if I download Windows 7 Ultimate and install it using this product key? Or Microsoft no longer support it, and it will not detect it?
Btw, is there any chance I can still upgrade to Windows 10?...

Hey all, somehow my 1TB hard drive was wiped out and I've lost 930GB worth of files from the past 8 years. I don't have any backups (stupid me). My hard drive contains lots of family vacation photos and videos, old school projects I'll need in the future, and loads of other really important stuff....

Recently Windows stopped booting on my PC. I was told by a professional that re-installing was probably my best bet, I had figured as much, but I wanted a second opinion.
Then from the thread I linked above, I was told that my hard drive was likely dead....
I have a HD with Windows 7 Ultimate and I just bought a new Motherboard and i7 processor and I just want to know when I install Win7 on a clean new HD can I get the files from the old HD not in use as a boot drive with Win7 on it? I have about 400Gigs and I do not want to wait to back up...
