Error during install - Please help

Did you format using the Windows 7 installation disk?

Click install windows / custom installation / drive options / format / then install.

Yeah I am not familiar with that issue, just trying to help you troubleshoot the problem. Other than that the other things that come to mind are maybe BIOS settings or the installation media example program used to burn the ISO and burn speed.

Half the maximum rated speed of the media or burner which ever is lower is recommended. Example a 20X burner and 16X media you would burn at 8X.

I also did some searching for you and found this solution for people with the same problem as you have that you could try.

I figured out how to get the install to work. Unplug your network cable, do not install updates untill after installation is complete. The main thing is do not allow access to the internet until after setup is complete! I hope this works for you.

EDIT: I think that the "beep" sound is because of the Hard Disk faliure or something because when the computer restarted itself after the beep sound it couldnt boot from the HD and automaticly boot from the disk.

Did you happen to reorganize the boot priority when you installed from the flash drive? With installing from flash you may need to place the Flash drive (USB-FDD) as first priority to get it to boot, then place it after the HD after the first reboot to get it to boot from the HD.

With installing from disk you can leave CD/DVD as first and HD as second the whole time.

If you do not have a 3.25 floppy installed you may have to disable "Boot from floppy" in the Bios as well, though I only found that option only affected installing from flash drive.

Edit: there are some HD diagnostic tools out there that will help you troubleshoot your HD as well.

ive lost my xp installation disk, and have no other OS on my gaming pc (im most of the time playing)

I have read that someone had the same problem and he solved it by disconnecting the GPU and use the built in GPU and it fixed his problem, but i dont have built in gpu.
im thinking about taking my father's old gpu (it was created somewhere in the 1999-2001).

That could work too, though make sure it is the same brand (ATI or Nvidia) of video card as you have or you will get the wrong drivers installed during installation.

Like I said earlier though I am not familiar with this problem, I am only trying to help you troubleshoot. Maybe someone else will come along that can help you. I am probably forgetting something simple, but I cannot think of much else right now.

You might have answered your question...are you sure that the HD isn't fried or otherwise damaged. Try installing to another HD

I mentioned to try a HD diagnostic tool above, but trying a different HD would work and probably be easier to find out if it is the HD.
