    Question About System Repair Disk

I just got a new Lenovo laptop and it has the System Recovery Partition. I just want to confirm my actions. Instead of making the DVD's from the System Recover Partition, I downloaded the Win 7 ISO and made a DVD to install from when ever I do a Clean Install. My question is, would the DVD I made also serve as a System Repair Disk to correct problems in my current install? Thanks,

    Hi,

The Windows 7 ISO will be good for a repair of the new clean reinstall - not the existing bloated OEM install. You should also burn the Lenova recovery media as insurance should you ever have to revert to the factory state.

System Repair Disk has everything that is contained in the Win7 DVD System Recovery Options.

It can repair anything in a factory OEM pre-install that it can repair in a retail install, with the addition that it can run a Repair Install in addition to a Clean Install Windows 7 or Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

I'm sure you know this but most tech enthusiasts prefer to run the Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 instead of fighting the corrupting bloatware which throttles Win7 native performance.

Next best would be to Clean Up Factory Bloatware.

Thanks very much. I kind of thought that might be the answer. I guess I better make those disks.
