That's actually where I went to confirm that it does support Windows 7, but it's like I said the software is pre-installed so I'll have to try Windows 8 to try the software, then I can decide if I want to back it up and install it on Windows 7 afterwards, I think I can do that anyway, or just leave it.

Win7 and Win8 are both driver-complete OS"s in the installer and via Windows Updates. Win8 doesn't even have user interaction with drivers, using improvements developed in Win7.

In WIN7 enable Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3) then run all Windows Updates with required reboots, before importing any drivers still missing in Device Manager only.

What confuses me about your original post is it implied you have a WIn8 PC and might want to keep some of its preinstalled Asus bloatware programs, but still install Win7 somehow. That's not only impossible but there are special steps with a Win8 PC to upgrade to Win7 which are best accomplished using EFI with theog's tutorial, or if you run into problems you might Bypass UEFI to Install WIn7.

Hope this provides any additional options needed.
