Windows 7: Stuck on 'Starting Windows' screen during install

I followed your steps and have installed Windows 7 using legacy BIOS. Thank you!

At some point in the future, I would still like to play around with a UEFI install in order to gauge any differences in boot time, performance, etc. I've looked over theog's tutorials, but my issue remains the same - the system freezes on the Windows logo during the install. It seems rwx had the same issue a couple of weeks ago and as far as I could tell, did not get it resolves. He/she also reverted to a legacy BIOS installation of Windows 7.

Let us know if you resolve an EFI install. Since all BIOS are different in the way they handle EFI I'd study your mobo Manual from its Support Downloads webpage, interact with their tech support via email, chat or their forums, search for EFI issues for your model mobo.
