Windows 7: Activation Windows 8 Enterprise VLK but wanted to install Windows 7Ent

We purchased a VLK with Software Assurance from a local distributor here my question is what if from their VLSC License the Operating System listed are



10 Windows 7 Professional
82 Windows 8 Enterprise
15 Windows 7 Enterprise

We don't want to install Windows 8 as of now to our office and we wanted to retain the Windows 7 Pro and Enterprise as our Operating System. Do we have a problem for Activation if we still insists to used Windows 7 Pro and Enterprise Operating System using the Windows 8 Enterprise 82 Licenses?

There is no way you can use a Windows 8 Enterprise licence for anything else than Windows 8 Enterprise. You simply can not activate Windows with a product key belonging to another Windows version and edition.

With those licences you can install and activate 27 25 Windows 7, not a single more.

we purchased 82 license of Windows 8 just because as per the distributor there is no windows 7 VLK available now and also they told us that it is ok if we install Windows 7 Enterprise and used the Windows 8 License. Are we going to have a problem if we still install Windows 7 Enterprise and used the remaining windows 8 enterprise license?

Well if they told you, you could do it, go for it. There`s only 1 way to find out. Install 7 on a machine and try to activate it with a W8 key.

Yes, and if that does not work you could try some old XP or Vista product keys .

Seriously, think logically. Windows 8 Enterprise product key can only be used to activate Windows 8 Enterprise. I repeat what I said earlier: There is no way you can activate a Windows with product key belonging to another edition of the same version, not to speak about a totally different version.
