Clean install of windows 7 professional 64 bit from Vista machine

I currently have vista 32 and ordered a full version of windows 7 professional sp1 64-bit. The disk that came in the mail says "Reinstallation dvd windows 7 professional sp1 64 bit". Will this Reinstallation DVD allow me to do a clean install of windows 7 64-bit on my computer?

Hello Tn4Bama, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Yes, that DVD will allow you to do a clean install with it.
Of course, to be able to install a 64-bit Windows 7, your computer will also need to meet at least the minimum requirements below:
    • 1 GHz 64-bit processor
    • 2 GB RAM for 64-bit Windows 7 (recommend at least 4 GB)
    • 20 GB available hard disk space (recommend at least 60 GB)
It would also be a good idea to make sure that you have 64-bit Windows 7 drivers available for all of your devices, and to have them downloaded and ready to install after Windows is finished installing.

    Hope this helps, :)
    Shawn
