Fresh win7 pro install with no pro disk

    Hi, great site here.

Is there any way to do a fresh install without a disk that my key is for? I have a pc with no backup copies of Windows 7 Pro OA that came on it. I only have a Windows 7 Home Prem disk that I bought for my laptop. Is there anyway to make it work? Will my Pro OA key from the site of the box work with the Home Prem disk I have? Or is there somewhere at Microsoft that I can download a copy of Pro OA that I have paid for?

    Thanks

You can download the correct versio iso file from here. Dell Community
The put it on a flash drive or burn the image to a DVD.

    Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool

The key on your COA will only activate the version it is for.

Yes. All Disc believe it or not, Have all versions on them. The Disc just containes a little file, that restricts it down to certain versions, we can modifiy this .cfg file to give you an option as to which version you wish to install, (pro, home, Ultimate, etc etc)

See this link here: How to Select Any Edition or Version (SKU) of Windows 7 to Install From Single Edition DVD Disc Media or ISO « My Digital Life

    this will show you how.

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

You can order OEM Recovery disks from your OEM manufacturer's website.
