    Cannot disable Win7 boot manager

I'm hoping someone can help me with what should be a simple fix but so far has defied all my efforts. I have installed Windows 7 on my MSI Wind Netbook using a new Seagate 320gb sata drive and every time I power on, Windows Boot Manager loads and I have to select Windows 7 as the OS even though it's the only OS that has been installed. The first time I installed I let Win7 create the partitions but I thought that might have been the problem because of the 100mb system drive it created so I deleted everything, made 2 partitions and installed Win7 on the active partition but still it boots into Boot Manager. I've been into msconfig and Win7 is the only OS and there is no delay set but still it persists. I've also tried EasyBCD but it made no difference either. The ONLY time it doesn't boot to Boot Manager is if I have the external USB DVD drive connected with the Win7 disk inserted... then it says press any key to boot from CD/DVD which I ignore and Win7 loads normally. Any help appreciated.

I'm in Ubuntu atm but i'm pretty sure if you right click 'Computer' > Properties > advanced system settings there's an option there for boot options, where you can delete entries etc.
I'll try a be a little more specific when i boot in W7 shortly

Another thing you can try is change time to zero, in the area that rsvr85 speaks of. Also maybe it would help to show us your bcdedit output:

    bcdedit /enum ALL

I have already done the right click on my computer etc. Win7 is the only OS in the boot tab and wait time is already set to zero. BCDEdit result:

I suspect it is because the recoveryenabled is set to Yes.

On my system this value is not set. I suspect something was unstable about your system, and now it wants to continually boot in recovery mode. Do you know what happened to trigger this?

To the best of my knowledge, nothing happened. I've installed Win7 3 times now on this netbook - each time without a single issue apart from the Boot Manager at startup. I've tried letting Win7 create it's own partitions (including the 100mb system reserved) and also created my own partitions and forced it to install where I wanted it - but still Boot Manager persists.

It is not that. I just compared your Bcdedit with mine on a computer that does not go thourhg the boot selection and they are indentical, withthe exception of what is not supposed to be. Mine also has the recoveryenabled set to yes.
I need to look further I also don't know why it is doing that

Thanks wally. I thought about it. Maybe my system doesn't have that option set because I have system restore disabled?
