The retail Upgrade license lasts as long as the OS does, to be reinstalled as often as you wish wherever you want , since you have a retail XP copy that qualifies for it - correct?

I am now the proud owner of windows 8 pro, downloaded and installed today from microsoft shop.
Now I have to learn to use it.
If you want the Windows 7 desktop environment, then the link gregrocker posted earlier about adding the Windows 7 start menu to Windows 8 is a good way to go. I use it myself and it has worked very well. You also have the option to switch between the Windows 7 desktop and the Windows 8 start screen, simply by logging on and off without the need for a reboot.
