Reinstall Win7 on SSD or get rid of extra windows version?
Hi,
I recently installed an Intel 520 series SSD (180 GB). I got the hardware hooked up right and the drive is recognized. I have the SSD and two other physical hard drives in the setup. I did a clean install of Win7 and had some difficulty with my graphics drivers so I had to install Win7 twice.
I think I installed Windows7 twice.
When I boot up before I boot up the BIOS gives me two listings of Windows 7 to boot.
On my C: Drive (the SSD) I have a Windows.old folder.
Im using about 100GBs on my SSD and I think that there's picture and video that I need to store on the regular mechanical HDDs. I have a Users folder and a folder with my name David that have a lot of media (pictures and video on them). I use carbonite as an online backup and Im not sure if I restored these files to my Crive with their automatic restore.
1. How do I get rid of one of the copies of Windows 7?
I don't mind doing another clean install but I'm not sure what to do with partions, I really don't understand them or how they affect the SSD.
2. Is there an easy way to move the Users folder off my SSD and onto a mechanical drive?
Thanks I'm not super tech savy and any help would be appreciated.
