    Win7 Acer 1410 install

Was wondering if anybody else has problems with a Acer 1410 Win7 (7100) install & losing your webcam? It worked just fine on the origional OS (Vista Prem) but now I get an error message saying that it can't find any webcam at all.

I went to the Acer web site & they list 2 different web cam drivers & I tried them both & nada. Figure I'll have to wait for 10/22 when 7 comes out & check again with Acer --maybe a bios update?

    Hi
Didn't think of the compatability thingy as I'm sure the drivers are for Vista seeing as Win7 drivers are few as there are only beta versions for Win7 out so far for most of us. Didn't even know that drivers could be installed in compatability mode?

I have the 1410 that came with 7 64 bit. The driver it is using is Microsoft Imaging Devices Webcam, driver date 6/21/2006, version 6.1.7600.16385. Works great, no issues. Hope that helps.
