    How do I get gateway's version of windows 7 without buying the $20disk


    We do not have the money to get the $20 disk from gateway, but my Dad has a Gateway NE56R10U windows 7 notebook laptop and the hard drive failed so we bought a $70 External hard drive from Walmart and just used it for a while with a copy of windows we had on a disk. But we want the full version of gateway windows 7 with the gateway eRecovery so we can recovery later on if we need to. Here is the gateway disk we need but don't have the money for. Is there any way of getting it without paying for the disk. I have a full gateway product key, Just need a copy of gateway's windows 7.

    Hello Trenton, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    If you like, you could use the tutorial below to do a clean install of Windows 7, and activate it with your key. The tutorial will show you how to download a retail Windows 7 ISO file to use instead.

    Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

    It's not an Gateway version, but you could download all the drivers and software at Gateway for you specific notebook model at the link below.
