USB as Windows 7 installation disk

Hi All,

When I am trying to create a usb disk as Windows 7 installation, bt the step of formatting it I get the following error message:" Virtual Disk Service error:
A concurrent second call is on an object before the first is completed."
How should I go from here?

Thanks

Shaul

Hello Shaul and welcome to Seven Forums.

Have you tried formatting using the Diskpart Command?

Disk - Clean and Clean All with Diskpart Command

If you're trying to create a bootable USB flash drive this tutorial might help.

I would suggest that you start again with the Tutorial, and follow each step in order. Wait until the prompt reappears before each command.

By the way, what's with listing the languages in each of your posts?

What kind of disk are you trying to format? USB external hard drive? Flash drive? Virtual hard drive? Are you sure it hasn't been damaged in some way?

See this previous Seven Forums thread for additional information:

Do you have an alternative USB stick to try with? I'm wondering if it is a size issue with your current one, which I take is 64GB. There shouldn't be any need to use a stick of greater than 8GB for this purpose.

It is 64GB disk on key, probably you are right and this is a disk matter.
I will get 8GB and try.

Thanks
