The Linux Grub messed you up. You can try to fix it with EasyBCD. Elseyou can make your C: partition active (with the bootable CD of Partition Wizard) and run repair/install with your installation disk 3 times. Reboot after each time.

This can be repaired. Has been done many times. No need to buy a new HDD. Give me a couple of minutes to find some reference posts.

PS: DO NOT REINSTALL. That will wipe all your data.

    1. Do what is posted in post #6 in this thread (the volume you are looking for is your C: partition): Bootmgr is missing even after doing a startup repair

    2. Then do the Startup/repair as explained here: Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times

PS: we are not going to give up

Yeah, Siw is always very cryptic. What he says is:

    1. Activate your C partition with cmd from the installation disc. (I had suggested the bootable CD of Partition Wizard because Command Prompt work is not everybody's cup of tea). He also abbreviated the commands. The full version would read like thsi:

    Diskpart

    list volume

( make a note of exactly what it says - and post it up here afterwards)

( find the letter for the volume you installed 7 on - use that instead of ? below)
    - he means the C: partition

select volume ? - where ? is your C: partition

    active

    exit

    2. After that, run startup/repair 3 times as described in the second link from Ted (BFK). That should be pretty clear. Where do you not understand ??

I see, thank you for clearing that up. Ignore the second one, I thought it was something different.
    I'll be trying it soon.
