Another Slow Install/Slow Boot
Hi guys, i know everyone has seen this problem already, ive searched through out the forum and on google and tried some of the methods shown to no avail.
Lets start from the beginning:
System Specs:
OS: Windows XP
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8400 3.0GHZ
Motherboard: MSI G31M3 V2 (MS-7529)
Memory: 4GB
Graphics Card: GeForce 7600
Sound Card: Creative SB0312 Audigy LS Sound Card
Monitor: Acer AL1916W
Hard Drive: Seagate 500GB
Ok now i have done the installation twice, each time it took around 5-6 hours to finish. Once finished, the boot time is very long it stays in the desktop loading screen for around 15-20 minutes. Also one weird thing that happens is my display goes out for around 5 minutes and then comes back again, idk if it's going to sleep or if it's a screen saver or w/e, but it happens alot. And once my desktop does finally load up everything is VERY SLOW.
Things to know: I am trying to install Windows 64 Bit
Things i have tried:
-Both times i did a clean install NOT an upgrade
-Right now im on XP and i even attempted an upgrade but it didn't work
-I tried disabling my floppy disk in my BIOS
-I tried installing a video card driver Specifically for windows 7 didn't do anything
Please help, thanks in advanced
