How to Switch from Ubuntu to Windows 7 cannot get it to work

    Telling folks that Wine runs most Windows apps is counter to your second statement -- a statement with which I strongly agree. I'm a strong supporter of the Ubuntu forums and regularly tell folks to quit treating it like a FREE version of Windows and learn how to use Linux apps.

    Regarding Office, you're right -- but realize that you're using an Office version that is 6 years old! Most posts I see these days ask about using Office 2010 (which doesn't work as well) or Office 2013 (which doesn't work at all).

    Office 2013 is crap and if office doesn't work get libre office it does the same thing
