I didn't get a chance to try Revo, and CC wouldn't budge those two Java's, here's what I tried, from a different thread I'm helping in:

No, since the fix-it worked I didn't get that far.

Its getting close to when I'm returning my niece's notebook to her, it'll be a couple of hours after the Daytona 500.

It is running pretty well it is actually pleasant to use now, compared to when I first looked at it.
I'm going over some finishing touches on updates, installing antimalware programs, Secuna PSI, and checking system settings.

My only concern is, how do I remove the security access code (key) from the network?
And, are there any registry keys I need to check to make sure my security key does not remain on her machine?

If I go to her wi-fi settings app >Click on the network name >Then tell it to forget network or something similar. Would that do it? Would there be any traces in the registry?

I don't mind if her machine can see my SSID, I just don't want her, or anyone else in her circle to have access to my wi-fi.

Click the network icon in the notification area. Click Open Network and Sharing Center. Click Manage Wireless Networks. Right-click the network you want the computer to forget and select Remove Network. It shouldn't leave anything behind.

Call me paranoid, but you say shouldn't, is there a way I can be sure?

The events that lead up to me applying my security key:

• I started her machine it saw my SSID and asked for the key to log on.
• I typed in the key and her machine was connected to our wi-fi.

Would this work?

• After I tell her machine to forget.
• I would back out of Network and Sharing Center, and re-boot her machine.
• It automatically searches for available local wi-fi's, I would think mine would be included.
• But, the entry for the security key would be blank again.

When I say shouldn't I mean anytime I have done this before, which has been multiple times, it has worked precisely how you think it should work. You don't even need to reboot. It should automatically disconnect. However, I have never, say, gone digging through the registry to make sure every single reference to said network was removed.

I followed your steps and it did work precisely as you described.

It asked me if I really wanted to do this and if I did I would have to recreate a new profile in order to reconnect. I said yes.

Went back to wi-fi access, my wi-fi was listed and asked to connect, a box popped up and I would have had to reapply my security key in order to connect.

Dropped the niece's machine off last evening and she was very happy especially when I showed her all her pictures were back in Libraries >Pictures.

Went over all the problems and what to do to stay away from them.
Showed how to navigate to the new programs I installed and how to use them.
One was the Snip-It tool, she thought that was real neat.
Went over the Steam install and how to set it up as per Petey7's instructions.

Then I had a talk with her on how much this would have cost if she took it to BestBuy, I hope it sunk in.

By the way...I have free oatmeal cookies for life on my birthday.
