Installation Problem I have a computer that used to have XP Pro and deleted all partitons to install windows 7 Ultimate on it goes through almost all the install steps but at "completing installation" my screen goes haywire with bunches of large stripe lines across the screen and wont go any further, what can I do to finish the install I wanna try it out to see if I am going to upgrade from vista on my FX Lappy, thxs in advanced

Ok we few quick things. One can you please fill out your system spec in your userCP this will help us know what hardware you are using.
Next is this 32bit or 64bit Windows 7?
Is this an install from a DVD or usb drive?

Sry not sure of all the specs of the pc, my main one is a gateway FX with a 2.2 ghz processor, 4gb ram, and 1 gb discrete video memory which is the one i will put into the specs for this website im sure it can handle windows 7, but the one i want to install it on is a emachines with 1.6 ghz processor, 1 gb ram 512 mb gpu not discrete memory, just my test pc mainly til i can afford to build a gaming rig... all i know is that it is windows 7 ultimate not sure of anything else, i got it from a friend and its an install from a DVD, thxs for the reply by the way | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Gateway/FX P-8705u OS Vista CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU Memory 4.0 GB Graphics Card NVIDIA Geforce 9800M GTS Screen Resolution 1920x1200 |

Installing Win 7 on desktop??? when it gets to end of the install it does this
my desktop is a emachines 1.6 ghz
1 gb ram
and the windows 7 disk is thr RTM version, i have tried installing all from starter to ultimate none work. has any1 else encountered this problem yet

thxs in advanced Probably a video driver reboot in safe mode (F8) and see if it changes. If yes download your video driver and install
