Keyboard won't work in Windows 7 boot loader

I currently have a dual boot of Windows 8 and Windows 7, (Windows 8 was pre-installed, Windows 7 installed on top). When the boot loader shows It says use the arrows to pick an operating system. Well I've tried that I the keyboard doesn't work at all, the tab button doesn't work, nor F8, nor the arrows. The funny thing is when I use Windows 8 bootloader it works perfectly fine, and it also works fine in the BIOS. Before people ask, I have looked through the whole BIOS for USB and startup options, and nothing is working. The keyboard is a wireless one with a USB receiver.

Why is it working in the Windows 8 bootloader, but not the Windows 7 one?

Some anomaly with the wireless keyboard.

I'd use the Win8 bootloader, by running Windows 8 Automatic Repair.

In Win7 make sure you have the latest chipset and USB drivers, checking optional Windows Updates first after enabling Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3)

Yh OK I'm just currently downloading them all, and I have also set to start up PC in diagnostic mode from the msconfig program to see if there is a hardware or driver problem at fault. I will let you know how it goes and get back ASAP.

Ok diagnostic mode doesn't work, however now I've tried the start up tab on msconfig and ticked all the boxes e.g. safe boot, and now when It does it stuff I takes hours to load each file. I should also point out that, after selecting windows 7 from the windows 8 bootloader the OEM post boot icon shows up, and then it everything as mentioned before goes terribly slow from there.

Run Win7 Startup Repair from System Recovery Options Option 2.
