Issue with the infamous 0x80070570
Ill start off with the situation;; I am trying to help out a friend with his PC that yesterday lost the OS. When I first got the chance to look at it upon booting it up it went straight to Operating System is Missing. So I went into a windows 7 CD and tried check if the disks are in order and if everything is still there. The computer is a pre built bought system name:
ACER Aspire AX1420G-U5832
Specs:
Win7 Home Premium 64bit
AMD Athlon II X4 645 Quad-Core
NVIDIA GEFORECE 6150SE
1TB Hard drive
4GB DDR3 Mem
Anyway, after booting into the systems HDD I found out that all the files are still there since the size of free space was only about 500gb. I assume he caught some type of virus that messed his OS up. Either way he said he wanted a fresh install. Since he has a Key for Home Premium included, I tried using the partition that came with the HDD/computer to install which didnt work. I downloaded a Win7 Home Premium from Digital River and put it on a USB
Anyway long story short, I get the code 0x80070570
After hours of googling I found this answer VVV
Code:Unplug all other HD's and peripherals, Boot into BIOS setup, reset to defaults, save changes. If an EFI BIOS you'll need to decide if you want UEFI BIOS vs. Legacy BIOS: if UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with, or enable Legacy BIOS or Compatibility Support Module. Set DVD drive first to boot, HD second, set SATA controller to AHCI, Save changes and Exit. Then boot into Windows 7 installer DVD or flash stick burned or written using tool and latest ISO for your licensed OS version here. At first installer screen Press Shift + F10, or enter System Recovery Options to open a Command Box, type: DISKPART LIST DISK SELECT DISK 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #) CLEAN CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE=102400 (for 100gb partition, adjust as desired) FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7" ACTIVE EXIT EXIT Next click Install Now, then Custom install to Clean Install Windows 7 to the partition you created. If it fails then report back at which step and the verbatim error message. In addition read over these steps to understand the tools and methods which work best to get and maintain a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. The steps are the same for retail. After install you can adjust partition size or Create new partitions for data, etc. in Disk Mgmt. You are creating the partition here for the purpose of marking it Active which overcomes certain install failures.
This didnt help me either... SO now I put the WD Caviar Green 1TB into my own system
i5 3570k
Asrock z77 extreme 6
670 gtx msi
16gb mushkin enhanced 2x8gb
I unplugged all my drives but the SSD with the OS. Booted in to check if the damn HDD (Caviar Green 1TB) was even good. I formated it to NTFS and diskpart>cleaned it
Now I still get this issue... I dont know what to do anymore. I would love some help ^_^
