A nice example of having a Genuine Microsoft Windows 7 x64 DVD.

Then when I'm trying to install Win7, I restart the computer, start hitting Esc, which gets me to the One-time Boot menu but when I choose [EFI] <the name of the drive where Win7 EFI bootable DVD is> it boots to Windows 8 anyways.

EDIT: It's solved. I just didn't 'press any key to continue..' fast enough. Sorry for the lame mistake!

Ray, I'm not sure I get the difference. Are you saying DVD media is always better?

I always work with Digital River or TechNet downloads. Are these sufficient in your view?

We've established the OP is working with a confirmed DR download via the forums-approved link.

Please clarify the distinction, what you feel might be missing.

You mean with a DVD instead of flash stick?

I think if I were the OP I'd borrow a DVD drive. However if it's a USB DVD drive, will it easily show up under UEFI boot?

My USB-DVD boots fine in a USB2 port in UEFI mode.
