    Cannot install Windows 7

Hi, can anyone help please. Finally got my mobo sorted and am now trying to load Windows 7.
Part way through I am getting the message :-
" Windows cannot instal the required files. The file does not exist"
    Error code 0x80070002.
    It is a new instal.
It has a reformatted hard drive with nothing on it and my os disc is a legal copy complete with the key.
Does anyone know what this means and tell me how to overcome it.
    Many thanks, Mike

You should either make a copy of your disc and re-try the install, or download the iso and burn to a dvd.

Thanks for your advice. I am new to this and don't know what an iso is.

Error normally means the installer is bad, either the ISO image file or the burn or write. Where did you get Win7, and how is the disk burned?

Start over with new ISO for your licensed burned to DVD or written to flash stick from Steps 1 and 2 of Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 then follow the steps in Clean Install Windows 7
