    Upgrade from 32bit to 64bit

    Hi,
I wanted to ask if there's an option to upgrade windows 7 32bit to windwos 7 64bit.

    Currently i got windows 7 32bit
and I'm not happy with him not showing all my 4GB Ram.

    Thanks ahead,
    Ben.

Hello Ben, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Sorry, but you can only do a clean install when going from 32-bit to 64-bit, or the other way around.

    Ok, thanks.

But, is there any good solutions to backup and restore applications data all together or something ?

There are options, but none that work consistently. Since it is a fresh install, it would be a good opportunity to reinstall your apps, making sure you have the latest versions...and the same goes with drivers. Your data can be backed up and moved off the system, and then restored once you are up and running on x64. I find that doing this process manually is the safest, and actually the quickest, because I know what data is important to me, rather than letting software decide.
