HELP - Windows 7 is not installing.

HI,
I have a Laptop and the OS of the same is crashed. Then I wanted to format the System Drive and I borrowed a Windows 7 installation DVD from a friend of mine. But when I was installing it these things happened -

1. Followed all the steps mentioned in Clean Install Windows 7 to step '9'. Its not that I am new in this formatting job. I've done it several times in my Desktop.

2. When it came to step '9' i.e. 'Installing Windows' and all the tasks are shown and the % of task completed. Then in 'Expanding Files' section it remains 0% for quite a while and when it turns to 1% the disk inside stops revolving I can feel that and It sticks there for sooo long. I almost waited 1 hour and saw it at 1%. Not that it hanged there the DOTS (...) just after the 'Expanding Files (1%) ...'are still moving.

I really need help in this regard. For your information the System Drive where I'm installing is 114 GB. And I've used Partition Manager before my OS was crashed and it was going fine then. Now I've formatted the system drive before installing Windows 7 so I can not open the computer either. Please help me guys.

1) Clean the Windows 7 DVD.

2) Clean the DVD Drive.

3) Clean the HD Drive, using Step one in this tutorial:
SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

4) Are you using a Genuine Microsoft Windows 7 DVD.

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals,

Boot into BIOS setup, reset to defaults, save changes. (If an EFI BIOS you'll need to decide if you want UEFI BIOS vs. Legacy BIOS. If UEFI follow these special steps for Install, otherwise enable Legacy BIOS or Compatibility Support Module to proceed with normal install.) Set DVD drive first to boot, HD second, set SATA controller to AHCI, Save changes and Exit.

Then boot into Windows 7 installer DVD or flash stick burned or written using tool and latest ISO for your licensed OS version here.

At first installer screen Press Shift + F10, or enter System Recovery Options to open a Command Box, type:

DISKPART
LIST DISK
SELECT DISK 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #)
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE=102400 (for 100gb partition, adjust as desired)
FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
ACTIVE
EXIT
EXIT

Next click Install Now, then Custom install to Clean Install Windows 7 to the partition you created. If it fails then report back at which step and the verbatim error message.

In addition read over these steps to understand the tools and methods which work best to get and maintain a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. The steps are the same for retail.

After install you can adjust partition size or Create new partitions for data, etc. in Disk Mgmt. You are creating the partition here for the purpose of wiping the HD and marking Active which overcomes certain install failures.
