    Access denied storage volume 4

    Vista Ultimate SP2

    Need help please?
Clean reinstall of vista plus SP2
Went to computer management and changed drive letters to be in order, have done this many times before on all my versions.
Before changing the drive letter, I had access to the storage partition
I now get "F:\is not accessible, Access is denied"
I've changed permissions and I've lost the drive name "Lap Storage P4"
I'm the Owner and have full permissions
I have a lot of information that I need on this drive.
Could someone help me how to regain access!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you have access before you changed the drive letter for aesthetic reasons? Try changing the letter back to what it was to see.

Do you still have access from XP?

Try the Take Ownership Shortcut on F.

You can always rescue your data from boot using Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console or Paragon Rescue Kit Free Edition 11.0 Free CD. If it comes to that you might need to delete the partition and create it again from Vista.

Sorry it has taken so long but the weather turned good and Vista went on hold! The Access denied was about permissions. I did change permissions from XP (the only one holding the correct volume name, affraid I was going to loose it also) and it gave me access from all three OS's. Changed the disk name back to original in Vista but couldn.t change the name in Win7. There were two files that I finally had to take ownership of and then I could change the name. Backed everything to a stick and then yesterday bought a 2TB USB "My Passport" and backed up to it.

Thanks for the help it was much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
