Fresh Install Stumped: HP Envy M6-1035DX

Gang, for fresh install win7 x64 Home Prem on M6-1035dx AMD A10-4600m model I'm using Brink's Multi-Select install from SD that I have used successfully every time except today...
Getting the generic "DVD/CD Driver missing" error.

I'm assuming the real culprit is not finding sata controller driver. am I going to have to go legacy mode to get this installed, and if so, how to switchover? I see where some on this forum have done install on this machine previously but not seen this particular hurdle addressed.

In an old 2012 thread, I read one user succeeded by simply finding a different install image... that's scary.
I don't mind burning a throwaway dvd but I'm baffled as to why one image would fly against an error code like this.

It's a very common install error and almost always means the installer is bad. An SD card is dodgy to begin with for booted install.

Try a new DVD burn or flash stick installer using the latest official ISO image for your licensed version and the tool to burn it or write to flash stick in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

Then follow the other steps to get and keep a perfect install. Be sure to read the Special Note to HP Owners at the end to understand how to handle the HP OEM partitions better.
