No Internet with New Windows 7 Install after using Darik's Boot & Nuke

My office was getting rid of an HP EliteBook 8460p, which they let me buy as long as I ran Darik's Boot and Nuke on it. I did and then bought my own Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit to install. I installed the OS yesterday and now I cannot get any wired or wireless internet. When I run the troubleshoot it says there is not a driver for the network adaptor.

I've read 20 or more threads on here with similar issues, have downloaded several different drivers off of the HP website, but nothing seems to work. When I try to install the drivers (which I'm downloading from another machine and using an external hard drive to run them), none seem to install properly.

I really appreciate your help! I only have a basic understanding of how these things work, which I know is worse because I know just enough to really mess things up HA!

Here is the link where I have been downloading drivers from:

Could someone please confirm which ones I should do? Might this have anything to do with the Darik's Boot and Nuke I ran on the machine first?

    Welcome to the forum,

Can you open device manager and look under network adapters and tell us what is listed there.

Even better would be a screenshot,

Can you expand the network controller and Ethernet controller to see any other info?

OK, next step would be under the details tab of those windows, on the property dropdown select hardware ID's

    Then post those screenshots.
