    Apparently, I have a volume license. I found the worldwide activation centers, & since I'm an "existing customer', maybe I'll be able to get this OS activated today.

    I've learned that if I call the Microsoft Activation number for the U.S., they will extend (or at least activate this OS) the number of times that I can install this program.
    I'm going to mark this as being SOLVED, if you all don't mind. I need to get offline & call Microsoft.
