Win 32bitpro as well as Win7 64bit pro How to uninstall win 32bit ver

I have 1520 laptop(Dell) and with Microsoft support, we set up new hard drive with Win 7 64 bit pro. First we installed 32 bit pro version, afterwards we installed 64 bit ver. I did this all over phone with Microsoft Support. I need to uninstall the older 32bit version? I couldn't find files to uninstall using Control Panel "Programs" Why? My keyboard won't work and some F keys as well. Perhaps a conflict between 2 Win versions? Thanks Debra1533

Anyway I can look something up to tell you answer? I didn't set up a partition especially but see Windows or? has - programs sit on C and programs run D drive. I hope this makes sense.

Right now my laptop powers on in 64bit pro and not sure about the old one. Problem occurred is once I installed (with Win Support on phone) my keyboard was working just fine as well as Dell 1520 media buttons on front edge of laptop. Once I installed Windows (64 bit pro) keyboard would not work. Tested this for months but now know certainly its a software issue, confirmed by other's comments in another thread here in Forum.

Before I go ahead and do a clean wipe and reinstall of everything, I wanted to uninstall 32bit pro version to see if that was the conflict.

This does sound like sound logical conclusion - I specifically asked Win Support tech if I shouldn't uninstall the 32 before the install of 64 and he replied no - it would be fine to leave it. To confirm win 7 (32) has been renamed with tech as "old" so there it is.

yes sound odd? Can't think why tech though it was a good idea as I had no intention of going back.

So you wouldn't advise uninstalling or deleting win 32 bit?
