Windows 7 installation: No drivers were found click load

    Hi everyone,

I get this message while installing a new windows OS on a laptop, "No drives were found. Click Load Drivers to provide a mass storage driver for installation".

It's my sisters old laptop and I am not really sure what really happened as she too is not sure. She just said its not working. I wanted to format it because it would not even start it ends up with error : A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reco... and pressing these doesn't do anything.

    Please note:
I can't use any software to check my hard drive as I am not even able to get into windows. I have tried removing and reinserting the hard drive, didn't help.

I'm using usb for installation as I don't have a CD.

    Please help.

Can I do that without getting into widows. I mean I can't even go beyond the " A disk read error occurred " page.

Yes, burn the disk for your maker's HD Diagnostics, then boot it to do an extended scan. If it fails, replace the HD.

If the HD works then you need a new installer. Everything needed is here to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. Follow the steps closely.
