Reinstalling Win7, error code 0x0000007E
Hi,
I stopped using my desktop PC a couple of years back due to multiple BSODs and not being able to fix it. I have recently tried to repair it.
I have created a Windows 7 Home Premium Installation Disk and have my Product Key. I booted from this disk and carried out the setup until the installation stopped as it was expanding files, with the error message 0x80070570. During this time I deleted my partitions to leave me with one block of disc space.
I read that a fix for this was to remove all but 1 stick of RAM, so I removed the other three and tried again, leaving me with 2GB of RAM. I load the disk, windows loads the files (the black screen with the progress bar at the bottom) and then blue screens with the error message "STOP: 0x0000007E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF8000D2BA970, 0xFFFFF880009A9418, 0xFFFFF880009A8C70)
I'm at a bit of a loss to be honest and any help would be greatly appreciated!!
