Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I finally called Dell and went through a hell of a lot of calls to get this fixed. They tried several different things and had me make changes to my system and keep trying to install windows...which did not work but finally one method worked and now this is reinstalled. It was exactly what I did not want to do because I did not have a good experience last time I had tried it but given the difficulties I was having, I thought it would be the only real choice had.

Regardless, I think the "disable acceleration" was certainly a part of the solution so I like to say this helped though there was other stuff that got done as well.

I wanted to make this post so that you can close this thread or whatever you like with it.
