    Please Help


    Hi my wifes HP DV6500 HDD died i have installed a spare HDD and have done the disk part (clean all) and have initialised the hdd before i fitted it but when i boot up from a original w7 cd it says no oporating system found and that's all it does Please help. i have changed the boot order to cd as well

    Boot the Windows 7 DVD from the One Time Boot Menu.

    To clean install:
    1) Clean the HD Drive, using Step one in this tutorial:
    SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation
    than
    2a) clean install with the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disk.
    2b) Clean Install Windows 7
    2c) UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with

    Tried all that it still states no OS found on boot or any other key i press .Don't forget i have done a clean all and initialized the disk before i inserted in her laptop

    Are you booting the DVD from the One Time Boot Menu?
    If yes, DVD is not bootable or DVD drive not working.

    dvd drive makes a noise like its working and i have a genuine W7 cd

    I don't get that msg on the screen .
    I have now tried to boot from a usb i downloaded the ISCO from here HeiDoc.net: The Technology Treasure Chest
    but when i insert thu usb it says BOOTMGR is missing
    Ihave also tried an external dvd drive but still no luck

    Ok i have just found out that the cd drive is stuffed she has just told me that it does not play cd's since my daughter dropped the laptop a while ago .

    Write the ISO to 4gb+ flash stick using Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool .

    Did you download the licensed version on the COA sticker? Check now on the bottom of laptop to be sure, and that the Product Key is readable. You will need it to activate.

    Then follow these steps to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

    Hi i have done that i have booted it up via usb but now it's asking for the device drivers
    on the install window there is no hdd visible to install the OS ??
