Need help Installing Windows 7 on new hdd.

I had to replace my internal hdd since it failed. Bought this one from amazon: Amazon.com: WD Black 320 GB Mobile Hard Drive: 2.5 Inch, 7200 RPM, SATA II, 16 MB Cache, 5 Year Warranty - WD3200BEKT: Computers & Accessories

This is the laptop I am installing it on: Asus k52jc.

I am trying to install windows 7 home premium 64 bit onto the new hard drive. I created a bootable usb but am getting the following errors:

- No Drives were found. Click Load Driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation.
- To install the device driver needed to access your hard drive, insert the installation media containing the driver files.
- No signed device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers.

I know this is a common problem and I've searched the forums,along with other places, and really can't find a solution.

Other notes-
The hdd does appear in bios
I used my asus recovery disks. Thought it would help, unsure if it did or it is affecting this install

I have read that is common and even though I don't think I have any usb3.0 ports I have tried installing from the 3 usb ports I have and still receive the same errors.

Created usb with a program called rufus.

Got the .ISO from searching which led me to this for the link:

I have tried installing from 2 different cds and 3 different usbs. After a suggestion that the .iso download might be bad I downloaded this a second time along with 2 different .ISO from another search. Still the same errors.

Use the .iso and tool to write to USB in Steps 1 and 2 of Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7,

Then follow those steps to get and keep a perfect install.

Be sure to delete all partitions during booted Custom Clean Install Windows 7,
create New as you wish or just click Next to have the installer do it for you and begin install.

Pay attention to how drivers are handled in Win7. Put your network driver in backup so you can install it if it's not provided during install, then after getting online enable Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3) and install all rounds of Important and Optional Windows Updates to completion. Only import drivers still missing in Device Manager after all Updates are installed.

The HDD must show in BIOS, before installing Windows with the Asus Recovery disks.

I was able to see the HDD in bios befor using the recovery disks.

I followed the steps in the first link but there are no partitions shown.
