Canít see drivers of my laptop when booting with Windows 7 DVD,

Canít see drivers of my laptop when booting with Windows 7 DVD,

I wanted to format my laptop (HP EliteBook 8770w) and thus I booted with my windows 7 DVD but at the step of ďWhere do you want to install windowsĒ, I canít find any driver. As the ďload driverĒ button is clicked, I got the message shown on the attached screenshot.

What might be the issue here?

Is there some settings at the BIOS level that make the drivers appear?

Thank you

Best

Jamal

Will the HDD show in BIOS?
If YES.
You need to download sata controller drivers the HP web site.
SATA Driver - Load in Windows 7 or Vista Setup

Many thanks theog for the help,

I checked the system information from the BIOS but I couldnít see the hard drive (attached)

Why the BIOS is not providing information about the Hard Disk?

Go to your System Configuration, and check your drive settings.
You can also try resetting the BIOS to default settings.

I would want SATA controller set to AHCI for latest features.

The prompt for drivers can also mean a bad installer. Did it complete install in IDE mode? If not try a new ISO burned/written using tool provided in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which steps will assure a perfect install, even for retail.
