Issues downgrading from 8 to 7

Hey guys, so ive run into an issue which i thought should be rather simple. That is downgrading from windows 8 to 7. Im not up to scratch with this UEFI stiff.

I am attempting to install windows vista instead of windows 8. Am I'm getting the error that i cannot install windows on the disk when its GPK disk or something.

I read that the install MUST be a 64bit install of windows and i have disable UEFI and set it to legacy boot but then the computer does not detect the bootable media, be it usb or cd.

My main question is, do i need to create UEFI compatible boot media or does this not matter?

    Any help much appreciated!

Is this a OEM manufacturer's PC with Pre-installed Windows 8?

Warning you must have the UEFI/BIOS firmware setting in Step Three set.

Make sure you read the NOTE at Step three.

    2) If Using a USB Pen drive on a PC with a UEFI BIOS.
USB Pen drive need to be formatted to FAT32 as in

Take note of Step 11 for Windows 7.
Also you will need to use a USB 2.0 port, as there are no USB 3.0 drivers in Windows 7.

You will need to buy Windows 7.
