Trying to instal win 7 Ultimate on my laptop after HDD crashed in desk

So I had win 7 Ultimate installed on my desktop HDD that completely went south and not even close to being able to recover. I have installed win 7 Ultimate on my laptop that was currently running home professional and I used the anytime upgrade and inserted my product key that came with the DVD case. Now this was 3 or 4 days ago and when I inserted the product key, everything seemed to go smoothly. But just now after changing the font & icon sizes, you know how it tells you it has to log off and log back on to change the settings? Well, after I did that a ballon popped up saying I must activate windows or reinstall product number. So maybe I typed a wrong key by mistake. I re-typed the product key and still... No luck. Am I correct for assuming it has something to do with windows 7 ultimate being installed on the HDD that went to Hard Drive Heaven? Can anyone give me some info on what to do? Thank you for your time reading this.

Never mind guys! I used the activation by phone and that did the trick. This post is considered solved!

If you used the same key you used on the Desktop, then when you try to get it going again you're going to have a problem as it is now associated with the Laptop. Can't use the same key on more than one system.
