Student $30 Upgrade...download iso?

Hello,
I purchased the $30 Student download upgrade for Windows 7 Professional. I want to do a fresh install and therefore need to boot off a disc. Where do i download the iso so I can burn my disc of Windows 7 Professional? I currently have the full 32-bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium.

1. From within XP 32-bit, I downloaded the 64-bit version of Win7 Professional upgrade.
2. Used the installer to extract the files, but received above mentioned error.
3. Checked the file size of the folder "extendedSetup" and noticed that it was 3.01 GB.
4. Moved extendedSetup folder to root (C:\)
5. Downloaded this file and placed it into C:\WINDOWS\System32: https://www.sevenforums.com/attachments/gen...d-l-oscdimg.zip
6. Bought up command prompt and typed the following: oscdimg -bC:\expandedSetup\boot\etfsboot.com -h -u2 -m -lWIN_EN_DVD C:\expandedSetup\ C:\7.iso
7. Burned ISO with ImgBurn (freeware)
8. Booted, installed, and activated

thanks for your quick response! I am getting caught up in the command. When I enter the oscdimg - ect... i get back the message
ERROR: Could not delete existing file "C\expandedSetup\"
Error 5: Access is denied.
do you know what i did wrong? I am doing this in Vista Home Premium.

Normally, when you purchase a downloadable upgrade, once they confirm your payment, they either present a new page containing the download link, or they send you an email containing the download link.

If you didn't see a new page, I'd check the email address you gave them. Not only will that have the download link, it will also have the product key you will need to activate the OS.

You're missing a colon in the command line - "C:\...etc". Double check what you've written, and type it out carefully, don't cut and paste it in (the hyphens turn into û characters!)

Yes, the link provided to me in the email sends me to a place to download the Installer application and it extracts into the files similar to what would come on the CD.

And also the product key for 32-bit Windows 7 Professional

You don't really have to burn an .iso if you aren't going from a 32 bit version to a 64 bit version or vice versa.

Put the files in a different partition or burn them to a DVD. You can run the install from within your current OS and still format the partition using the Disk Options button on the bottom right of the partition page during the Custom install.

Doing that might invalidate your update ability, if the being able to do a clean install from an upgrade is not correct or changes for some reason.
