Yes used the Windows disk before twice or thrice. Have been a frequent victim of malware or viruses until I discovered malwarebytes.
And sorry what media you talking of in reference to Linux?

You need to stop downloading garbage and install Microsoft Security Essentials too.

The only answer I see for you is to find a working computer with a dvd burner and download the iso file and burn it to a dvd as Greg has suggested, and try installing windows with that.

Or possibly find someone that might lend you their Windows 7 dvd to test.

If you have used this dvd on that pc in the past, I have no idea why it won`t work on it anymore, as you`ve said it works fine on other pc`s.

By media I mean, a cd, a dvd, dvd-R, dvd+R, what brand etc. What do you have Linux on ? A cd ?

My Linux is on a Sony CD-RW. And yes after my original McAfee expired I did have Microsoft Security Essentials. Where can I get iso file for win7? Can give a reliable link? Reliability is the biggest issue on most sources.
