Windows 7: Windows 7 64 bit

Windows 7 64 bit

Windows 7 64 bit

I have a Laptop Dell Inspiron 1721.

I am going from a Vista 32bit to Windows 7 64...

My system is completely compatible...

The whole installation process goes through and completes...

It restarts and when the Windows 7 logo starts to do its thing it freezes, then a quick blue screen flashes...

I don't have time to read what it says...

It restarts and says Windows could not complete installation.

Any clue whats going on?

You can't do an upgrade from a 32bit OS to a 64bit OS. You will have to do a "clean" install.

If you could tell us what you've done to prepare your computer to install the Windows 7 64 OS, it would surely help us to troubleshoot and provide answers.

Sorry bro,

We do need more info re system specs but just generally I would recommend checking to see if there are any bios updates available for your machine. You should make sure you are running the latest bios b/4 trying to install Windows 7.
