Check the link I posted above. If you can do that, come back and I give you the commands

Guys you are confusing him, let`s just get it down to unallocated space, then just click next.

I think he is best off with a predefined partition. An additional advantage is that he will not get the dreaded 100MB system partition. The bootmgr will be in C. Makes e.g. imaging/recovery a lot easier. But I'll stay out of it if you think that this is not a good idea.

But he probably does not know how to make partitions, let`s just get windows installed, he can make more partitions later.

He`s been working on this for 2 days now, he wants to get done.

OK, I would have told him how to make a partition. It's easy if he can deal with the above tutorial. Just a few commands. But given that you guys have been at it for 2 days, it's better if I withdraw. Call if you change your mind.

I said HE`s been at it for two days.

I have no idea why he`s having so much trouble.

khristian, what`s happening ? has it started the install yet ?

Then a popup came up and said widows could not retrieve information about the disks on this computer, so I pressed ok. It brought me back to the install windows screen. So I clicked install now again and got back to the setup is starting... screen. This took me to the listener terms screen and I accepted and pressed next. I then clicked custom advanced but it said no drives were found. Click load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation. What do I do? I am really freaking out now.
The disk warning error and behavior described means HD may be bad. Test your HDD with the maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan and Disk Check on a full disk partition you create and mark Active following Step 2.2 in SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation .

The driver error you received most often means the installer is bad. Confirm your ISO download completed or download another, burn to disk using ImgBurn or write to bootable flash stick using UltraISO Software To Create Bootable USB Flash Drive .

Try Clean Install Windows 7 to the partition you create above with all other HD's and peripherals unplugged. Report back results including verbatim error messages.

Ok so now I'm able to get into the windows installer but it takes forever to load anything (loading at windows is starting or setup is starting) and when I finally get into custom advanced installation I have disk 0 partition 1: system reserved total size 100 MB free space 71.0 MB type system and disk 0 partition 2 total size 596.1 GB free space 595.4 GB type primary. And last time I clicked next it wasn't installing any time soon

Have you tried clicking on each of the partitions to delete them?

Not this time, but the problem is that I can hardly even get to that menu because the windows is starting and setup is starting takes so long to load (like I might wait over 10 minutes at the setup is starting screen)
