I already have W7 recently I install win xp in another partition but at the startup it not ask to choose to run OS and start win xp auto ...
after this issue I search on google and find I need to do repair W7 via W7 DVD after it now W7 booting and Win xp hidden ... how can I fix this issue please help and give me quick solution

Just an explanation of what happens when XP is installed AFTER Windows 7:
The XP installer is able to install the system files to the selected partition without difficulty. Then it comes time to install a bootloader so the installation can continue. When Vista was under development Microsoft decided to use a different bootloader than was used in XP and prior. The reasons why are not important here. So the XP installer sees the foreign Windows 7 bootloader which it of course knows nothing about, or even if it is a valid bootloader at all. So the XP installer does the only thing it can do and replaces the existing bootloader with it's own. Naturally XP knows nothing about Windows 7 or it's boot requirements. And as it turns out the XP bootloader isn't compatible with Windows 7 anyway. So Windows 7 does not appear in the boot menu.
The solution is to do a Windows 7 repair that reinstalls the Windows 7 bootloader and configures it as necessary. This bootloader is compatible with XP so adding it to the boot menu is no problem.
Things are very different when Windows 7 is installed after XP. Windows 7 designers knew all about XP so they were able to design a bootloader that was compatible with it and add it to the boot menu. Everything works as expected.
That is why it is always best when multibooting to install the oldest OS first. OS designers know about the past. They do not know about the future.
