    uninstall 7

my mate has windows 7 pro and i got the RC version activation code hoping that it would work but it didnt.

we installed 7 on my pc anyway over the top of xp pro (so there is now a windows.old folder).

i tried to insert the xp cd and reinstall it over the top of 7 but it said that because it was an older operating system i couldnt do it

i checked out the microsoft site and it said to insert the windows 7 dvd and follow the steps...etc. but i dont have a dvd reader/burner so i have being putting the iso file of windows 7 disc on my virtual drive but when i restart my pc it doesnt load up like it said it would. i tried looking at the BIOS settings but the virtual drive wasnt on there.

can i just do a clean reinstall of xp by whiping the C drive partition clean? as i just want to use xp.

or can do i have to change the bios settings
or just borrow a dvd reader??
i have about 2 days before the 30 day registration expires.

    please help :)
